The second quarter of 2024 has shown some intriguing shifts in the performance of Film & Television applications on the Android platform in the US. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at how these top contenders fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies experienced a fluctuating quarter with downloads peaking at 177K in early April before tapering down to 87K by the end of June. Revenue showed an upward trend, starting at around $13K and reaching $19K in the first week of June, with weekly active users increasing consistently from 676K to 1.2M.

Disney+ saw a more stable pattern in downloads, starting at 42K and dramatically spiking to 128K in the last week of June. Revenue for Disney+ varied, with an early April low of $1K and a late June high of $1.5K. Weekly active users experienced a significant rise, from 995K to a notable 1.5M by the quarter's end.

Star+ had a mixed quarter with downloads beginning at 81K and dropping to zero in the last week of June. Revenue also saw a decline, starting at $1.1K and dropping to zero by the end of the quarter. The weekly active users count began at 1.3M, peaking mid-quarter at 1.4M before falling to 1.2M.

Amazon Prime Video maintained a steady download count, starting at 39K and ending the quarter at 45K. Since the app's revenue was mostly non-existent, the focus remains on the active users, which saw a peak of 419K in late April and ended the quarter with 430K.

Netflix, despite not generating revenue on the platform, had a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, starting at 41K and ending at 46K. The active user base for Netflix started at a high of 3M, dipped to 2.6M mid-quarter, and closed the quarter at 2.6M.
